Homework:
Each night this week students need to read for 1/2 hour (during focus group time) and write a reading log response. The reading is being done in class so they just need to write their responses at home.
Math: X-tra Math for 10 minutes.
Creative writing stories are due Thursday. They began workinging on them prior to vacation.
Today in class:
Math: We converted fractions with class data into decimals and percents.
Focus Group: We had time to silent read and get a start on a new novel.
Language Arts: Created our new spelling lists. Worked on creative writing stories. Some students worked on parts of speech.
Social Studies: We began a discussion about the Inca people and compared their society to ours.
Science: We had time to build our earthquake structures that we began prior to vacation.
